OUR CLIENTS
With over 20 years of experience in business, our customer base is too large to list everyone! To discuss areas relevant to you, feel free to call us for a chat.

We have appeared as Expert Witnesses for several airports and have contributed environmental statements, impact assessments, specialist surveys and advice to many more. These include airports being recommissioned (e.g. Doncaster/Sheffield) and expanded (e.g. London Ashford, Coventry, Carlisle). Our experience with designated sites e.g. SPAs (e.g. Solway, Mersey, Forth) means we know exactly what the statutory bodies will accept and how to prepare our evidence.

Air safety and bird strike risk must be taken into account with any development close to an airport (up to 13km with safeguarded airfields). We have advised on many such projects from design to assessment to the preparation of Bird Control Management Plans. We have always provided solutions that were acceptable to the relevant airport, including Birmingham International, Aberdeen International, Edinburgh International, Newcastle International and Robin Hood.

We have helped airports minimise bird strike risk by preparing and auditing Bird Control Management Plans; monitoring bird strike records and on-airfield observations; monitoring off-airfield bird attractants (including whole safeguarding zones); and preparing bespoke remedial strategies for specific problems. We are retained consultants for Belfast City Airport and have advised several others including Newcastle International, Coventry, Robin Hood and Carlisle.

Our experience with conservation in protected areas, combined with our understanding of our client's need, have led to our involvement in many projects where development could clash with conservation. Our track record in conservation means that we are trusted by both sides when assessing potential impacts and finding solutions. We have been involved with many such projects from local nature reserves right up to SPA/RAMSAR level (e.g. consultants on the Solway and Mersey Barrage teams).

Our full range of services from desktop studies, field surveys, monitoring, habitat management, translocations and planning have been enjoyed by a wide range of customers over the years, including ConocoPhillips, Natural England, DEFRA, Transco, Scottish Natural Heritage, MoD, RSPB, several councils and many of the larger engineering/ecological consultancies.

Whether for the creation of new reserves, mitigation for the loss of existing habitat or the improvement of wildlife areas, we know how to manage habitats. With one of our partners a former reserves committee member of Cumbria Wildlife Trust, warden for SNH and RSPB staff member this is no surprise! We have designed projects ranging from a small village reserve to the largest brownfield to nature reserve development in Europe!

We have worked with the Ministry of Defence on three major sites; Dartmoor, Otterburn Ranges and Redesdale Ranges. We have provided expert bird surveys to inform management strategy (including range expansion) as well as assessing the impact and regeneration from bombing on a wide range of species, including plants, insects and amphibians.

We are celebrating more than 20 years of successful Endangered (EN) species conservation in West Africa. During this time, we have contributed to the data collection, conservation, and research of some of the world’s rarest animals. As a by-product of our eco-tourism, we are benefiting the local people and the economy of The Gambia.
